Assim que descobri que o Burger Joint tinha uma sucursal em Madrid não pude resistir, tínhamos que experimentar e marcou a nossa primeira gastronómica do ano na capital. Queríamos ver se eram como os do primeiro Burger Joint em Nova Iorque e já lá vão dois anos mas lembro-me exactamente de esses suculentos hamburguers que nos fizeram chupar os dedos, o mesmo não posso dizer dos de Madrid porque são ligeiramente diferentes mas são muito bons e podem competir com os melhores da cidade.
Once I discovered that the Burger Joint had a branch in Madrid I could not resist, we had to try and it was our first food experience of the new year in the capital. We wanted to see if they were as the first Burger Joint in New York and it was two years ago but I remember exactly those juicy burgers that made us lick our fingers, the same can not be said for the ones of Madrid because they are slightly different but are very good and can compete with the best in town.

Faltou também aquela localização quase clandestina que o de Nova Iorque tem escondido no lobby do Le Parker Meridien hotel, este está na Calle Eloy Gonzalo em pleno bairro de Chamberí, perto da Glorieta de Quevedo, da Calle Fuencarral e da Plaza de Olavide. O seu interior procura replicar o original americano onde se destacam as paredes riscadas um incentivo do próprio restaurante que deixa nas mesas copinhos com canetas, nós também quisemos deixar a nossa marca e escrevemos o nosso nome de familia. Pedimos um Combo que trazia um hambuguer, batatas e bebida por doze euros, tinham seis opções, eu pedi uma Americana com bacon e queijo cheddar para manter-me fiel á original. A carne é bom e o pão também, as batatas fritas não me surpreenderam. Decidimos no final pedir um brownie e ainda bem porque valeu a pena, um dos melhores que comi em Madrid.

The interior seeks to replicate the american original marked by the walls with scribles which the restaurant itself incentivatesby leaving cups in the tables with pens, we also wanted to leave our signature and wrote our family name. We order a combo that featured a hambuguer, potatoes and drink for twelve euros, had six options, I asked for an American with bacon and cheddar cheese to keep faithful to the original one. The meat is good and the bread also, the fries did not surprise me. We decided at the end to order a brownie and thank goodness because it was worth it, one of the best we have eaten in Madrid.
