Hoje conhecemos a...Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família!

A fantástica obra arquitectónica criada por Antonio Gaudi e que ainda hoje continua em construção segundo a sua maquete original (segundo é maneira de dizer, tal é a controvérsia á volta da sua construção).

Há uns anos quando visitei Barcelona a trabalho, tinha visto a Sagrada Família mas de noite, confesso que além do espanto de a ver ao vivo fiquei sempre com uma imagem de um edificio um tanto ao quanto assustador. Agora fui mesmo visitar o templo, é dificil conter o entusiasmo. E se de fora logo percebemos que é um monumento único, quando entrei tive que agarrar bem as lágrimas aos olhos...é emocionante. 

A entrada faz-se pela fachada da Paixão.

Today we know the Basilica i ... Expiatori Temple de la Sagrada Familia!
The outstanding architectural work created by Antonio Gaudi and that still today continues under construction according to his original model (according is a way to say it, there is much controversy surrounding the construction will).
Years ago when I visited Barcelona for work, had seen the Holy Family but at night, I confess that beyond the astonishment of seeing live was always a picture of a building a somewhat scary. Now we went to visit the temple, it is difficult to contain the excitement. And if from outside you soon realize that it is a unique monument, when I got in I had to grab the tears from my eyes ... it's exciting.
The entrance is through the facade of the Passion.

 

A fila (a um Domingo) demorou uns 15 minutos, aconselha-se a reservar os bilhetes antes o que evita tempo de espera. Comprámos bilhetes para duas pessoas mais acesso ao elevador e ficou 14,5€ a cada um (2,5€ do elevador). Eu recomendo a compra com o elevador, a vista é fantástica.

Logo ao inicio da visita temos o Agradecimento, a placa fala de o agradecimento de quem está envolvido na obra pela nossa visita. Porque a Sagrada Família não é um edificio público, o seu financiamento é feito através de doações e claro está os milhares de visitantes que por aqui passam e pagam os seus bilhetes.

A seguir podemos contemplar a fachada que representa a Paixão de Cristo e que retrata o momento da sua crucificação e sacrificio pela humanidade.

The queue (on a Sunday) took about 15 minutes, it is advisable to book the tickets before avoiding waiting. We bought tickets for two people plus the access to the elevator and it was total of € 14.5 each (2.5 € lift). I recommend buying the lift, the view is fantastic.
Right at the beginning of the visit you have the Acknowledgment, the board speaks of the gratitude of those involved in the work for our visit. Because the Sagrada Familia is not a public building, their funding is through donations and of course the thousands of visitors who come here and pay their tickets.
Then we can contemplate the facade representing the Passion of Christ, it portrays the time of his crucifixion and sacrifice for humanity.

 

 

 

 

 

Gaudi deixou alguns esboços da fachada, esta foi construída após a sua morte e segundo o que dizem, respeitando a sua ideia inicial.

Nota-se grandes diferenças entre o trabalho escultural feito nesta fachada e o feito na da Natividade.
Para ver a fachada da Natividade é preciso tempo, são muitos os detalhes, as tartarugas na base das colunas, as histórias representadas por cada escultura e cada pórtico. Aqui começa a trágica histórica de Cristo, no seu nascimento, a visita dos reis, a sua fuga, etc..
É nela que encontramos uma das imagens mais brutais de toda a Basílica, chamam-lhe a Morte dos Santos Inocentes que representa a altura em que o exército percorreu as ruas de Belém á procura do Rei dos Judeus que tinha nascido matando todos os bébés que pudessem ser ele.

Gaudi left some sketches of the facade, it was built after his death and according to what they say, respecting their initial idea.
There are major differences between the work done in this sculptural facade and done in the Nativity.
To see the Nativity façade one needs time, there are many details, the turtles at the base of the columns, the stories represented by each sculpture and each doorway. Here begins the tragic history of Christ at his birth, the visit of the kings, his escape, etc. ..
This is where we find one of the most brutal images of the entire Basilica,  theycall it the Death of the Holy Innocents which represents the time when the army went through the streets of Bethlehem looking for the King of the Jews that had been born killing all the babies that could be him.

 

 

São muitas as fotografías que tirei ao exterior da Sagrada Familia, seria complicado colocar aquí todas. Há uma terceira fachada que não conseguimos ver bem porque estava em obras. Aos poucos a grande obra de Gaudí vai aparecendo, quer se goste ou não, é impossível não reconhecer a grandeza do que pretendia criar.

There are many photographs I took of the outside of the Sagrada Familia, it would be difficult to put all here. There is a third facade that we couldn't see well because it was under construction. Gradually the great work of Gaudí will appear,like it or not, it is impossible not to recognize the magnitude of what was intended to create.
